TOURNAMENT FINAL
Windsor 2, Manchester 0. Tracey Sanko pitched a complete game 2-hitter, striking out nine and walking only one in a well played tournament championship game. Windsor managed to squeak two runs past a tough Manchester team with Katie Viara pitching her usual superb complete game. Margaret Sava had the big hit of the game with a base hit right over first base in the 3rd inning, driving home Andrea Varney. The Ravens scored the second run of the game in the 4th inning with back to back singles by Stephanie Frenette and Tracey Sanko. The Windsor defense was led Kim Marris behind the plate, Steph Frenette at second, Caylee Johanson at shortstop and Andrea Varney at third. Manchester hung in there all the way but just couldn't break through Windsor's tough pitching and defense. The Ravens finished the tournament with a 6-0 record, allowing a total of just seven runs along the way, a tribute to the combined weekend pitching efforts of Sanko, Johanson and Nicole Miller. Coached by Dave Ziaks, Craig Mendola, Tom Varney and Bob Wilhelm, the Ravens roster also included Abby Caron, Kathleen Edwards, Jackie Mendola, Amanda Rhodes, Melissa Wilhelm and Amanda Ziaks.
